Privacy Policy

• When you start a poll we store its title, options and time limit. We also store each voter's name (the account name if signed in) and their Yes and Not this taps.
• Anyone with the link can open the poll and see the options and the names of people who voted yes. Not this shows only a count, never who tapped it. You decide who gets the link.
• If you vote without signing in, we save a random value in a cookie (meokja-voter) for one year so you can change your vote later. The server keeps only a hash of it. The name you enter is also remembered in your browser so we don't ask again.
• Polls are deleted with their options and votes 90 days after they're made. The person who made one can delete it any time before that.
• When a poll is settled, the chosen dish, the poll title and the names of the other voters are saved to the account of the person who made it and of anyone who voted while signed in (your meals). This history is deleted when you delete your account.

• You only need to sign in to start a poll. Voting from a link works without signing in.
• Sign-in uses your Woodada account (Sign in with Google). We store your account name and email address, not your profile photo.
• Our servers and database run on Vercel and Turso in Japan.
• A session cookie (woodada.session_token) keeps you signed in for 30 days. Other services that use the Woodada account read the same cookie. We briefly count requests per IP address to limit abuse, but don't store that with your account.
• If you delete your account on the account page, the polls you made and your meal history are deleted right away. Votes you left on other people's polls remain only under the name you entered, unlinked from your account.

• No ads or tracking cookies. To see which pages get read, we count visits without cookies. IP addresses and browser details are not stored; visits are counted with an anonymous value that changes every day, so the same person is not recognised from one day to the next.
• We store one cookie (woodada-locale) for a year to remember your language. Other services on woodada.app read it so they show the same language. Your theme choice (light or dark) is remembered in browser storage.
• Vercel, which hosts the site, may keep access logs (such as IP addresses) for a limited time for security and operations.

What we receive

Your email address and message. The language you were viewing and your browser information (User-Agent) are stored with it to help us reply.

Only to reply. We do not send ads or promotional email.

Where it is stored

In the woodada inquiry service (admin.woodada.app). Servers and the database run on Vercel and Turso in Japan, and new-inquiry alerts are sent by Resend (United States).

How long

Kept so we can continue the conversation, and deleted right away if you ask.

To limit spam we count submissions per IP address, but the address is not stored with your inquiry.

To see or delete an inquiry you sent, tell us through the contact form. We confirm it is you via the email address you used, then take care of it.

If this policy changes, we post the update here and revise the effective date.
